You might not be used to undivided attention.
This is a place where you don’t have to be fine or wear a mask.
You won’t be judged.
We will approach your story with curiosity and compassion.

In therapy, you won’t find an agenda.
You decide what needs to happen, and I’ll help you get there.
If you don’t know what you need, well, that’s normal.
You just want to feel better, and I can work with that, too.
Healing and growth happen in the context of a secure relationship.
Earning your trust is the first priority, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure you can let your guard down a little.
It’s okay if that takes time.

You’ll be seen and heard.
Feeling understood is priceless, and worth the effort.
Together, we will make therapy a protected space. Not always comfy, but always at your direction on your timeline.
If you need a nudge in the direction you’re headed, or an idea about a different path, I can provide that, too, with your permission.
You’re not alone, but you don’t want to take these risks with just any therapist.
The truth is, the therapy relationship has the power to transform your relationships with a spouse, partner, children, parents, siblings, friends, coworkers and more!
Not all therapy partnerships are the same, but the right one for you makes a vast difference.

My story looks okay on the outside. On the inside, I’ve had my own work to rumble with.
Brainspotting therapy has been nothing less than transformational for my story, and I continue with it regularly.
I’m still the same personality, but I left my hangups behind.
The freedom and permission to grow have been revolutionary.
I’ve worked extensively with family of origin trauma, anxiety, traumatic or complicated grief and mood disorders.
After earning my graduate degree in 2001, I was an in-home counselor and a crisis counselor. When I completed licensure in 2004, I received intensive training in DBT, which now is used for a broad range of needs.
Since then, I’ve been an outpatient therapist in community mental health and private practice. In 2017, I founded Hope Counseling Solutions with a vision to focus on wellness and growth, and I have a special interest in Attachment, Mindfulness and Christian Therapy.
Adding Brainspotting in 2019 was the missing puzzle piece, and I became a Brainspotting Consultant in 2021. Teaching master’s-level counseling students since 2024 has brought great meaning and joy, and rejuvenated my passion for making a difference through therapy.
On a personal note, I love music and theater, watching soccer, interior painting, and time with my husband and four children.
I became a parent through ART, adoption, surprise pregnancy and foster care. It’s been a ride, and I wouldn’t trade it!
Whatever the season, I look for beauty. I love long walks, crisp fall mornings, fresh snow in the winter, budding flowers in the spring, and a good summer sunrise or evening rain.
I like to bake cookies and eat tacos. (Seriously, if you don’t like tacos, I may not be your person, and that’s okay!)
